Almost all of us experience tiredness, feeling out of balance, or chronic stress. In states of such depletion, a clear drop in energy becomes noticeable. Furthermore, as we age, our energy levels naturally decrease.
When we feel drained, we often reach for all sorts of stimulants and develop strategies to keep ourselves going. From coffee to intense exercise and a rich social life, or by escaping reality into the world of TV series, we create strategies that give us the illusion that we can make it through the day. Over time, these strategies gradually stop working, and we keep forcing and motivating ourselves to keep up with our busy schedules. The body responds with tension, and we begin to feel uncomfortable.
When rest, exercise, and other favourite activities are no longer enough to help us regenerate, it is time to seriously consider the underlying cause. If we miss this moment, chronic tension and a loss of contact with our authentic self may develop. As a result, it becomes increasingly difficult to feel ourselves and our own resources—or their absence. A kind of vicious circle may develop—a state of freeze from which it is difficult to emerge on our own.
This course teaches and enables you to rebuild contact with yourself in truth. This happens through the practice of mindfulness, gentle work with the nervous system, contact with authentic feelings, and connection with another person in a safe atmosphere.
The sessions take place once a week over a period of three months. During the course, you will also receive practical guidance, basic knowledge, and tools for transforming and managing your own energy in everyday life. Daily practice and applying the tools you receive during the course will strengthen the effects of your work.
Who is this course for?
For adults who have come to feel that a human being consists of more than just the physical body, but who do not yet know how, or do not yet have enough understanding, to consciously care for their energetic resources. In particular, I welcome people experiencing burnout, excessive tension, an overwhelming stream of thoughts, or a decline in their overall wellbeing.
This is not a course where I will tell you how to live. Instead, you will have the opportunity to see yourself and your needs clearly, as part of a larger context.
